CapSU cultural chair says 'no more to arnis' in Padagyaw field demo

DUMARAO, Capiz — CapSU Dumarao cultural chairman Prof. Marie Jean P.
Penson said on Wednesday, June 26, that Capiz State University, Dumarao
Campus will not choose arnis presentation anymore, but rather Padagyaw-themed
dance this upcoming Padagyaw 2013 field demonstration. She disclosed this during her class in BSEd 2. She said she
consider the viewers who annually see repeated arnis presentation from
CapSUnians for five years.
"My standard is really worthy to achieve the
victory," she said.
CapSU will combat 8 other schools for the field demonstration
contest. Among them were two elementary schools namely Dumarao Central
School and Immaculate Heart of Mary Child Learning Center and 6 other high
schools namely Bungsuan National High School, Estefania Montemayor
National High School, Manuel Onato Memorial National High School, Our Lady
of the Snows Institute, Presentacion Diez-Gregorio National High School
and Ramon Benjamin Memorial National High School.
Dumarao municipality provided P15, 000 subsidy to CapSU for costume in the said performance. CapSU Team will compose of first year
and second year students with Physical Education subjects.
Penson also clarified that the P16, 000 fund coming
from the school cultural fee will go to the
stipendiary of the trainer.
